Hi, I’m Kate (she/her), a real-life photographer based in Ottawa

I know how wild life with kids can be … that's why I focus on being fast and efficient every step of the way! From your inquiry to when you have your finished photos, the process will be so easy, personal, professional and fun! I know it's hard to be relaxed in front of the lens, so trust that I have your back. With a mix of natural posing, silly prompts and jokes, you'll feel your best the whole way through.
I am a Mom to 3 girls who splits her working time between photographer and pediatric nurse. I love being silly with my kids, and I’m always up for making a fool of myself by singing and dancing in public (to my pre-teens' horror)! I listen to too many true crime podcasts, I love the forest and hiking, vintage cameras, and I will never say no to ice cream!
I love the show The Office, and I am definitely a Pam. Maybe I should have become a receptionist for a mid-size paper company instead of a photographer! I started out shy and quiet, and have grown and changed over the years to find my voice and discover who I am. And while I am still dorky, I am also confident, open, caring, and finding my way towards becoming more adventurous! I have learned to say yes to things that sound scary and I'm always looking to try something new!

We are so happy with the photos from our home mini-session with Kate! My toddler warmed up to her immediately, and wished she could stay and play when the session was done. Kate captured so many beautiful and natural moments of our family, and was a pleasure to work with. We received the photos quickly and love how they turned out. We will definitely be contacting Kate again the next time we are looking for a photographer!
