At Home Mini: Short and Sweet Photography Sessions in Ottawa
What exactly is an At Home Mini Session?
In a few words: It's a nice quick visit from your photographer to update your family or couple portraits, and capture a few playful candid moments. It can be booked on a date that works for you, and held at your home or in your neighbourhood. You don't need to bend your schedule to a photographers busy mini session day, or drive all over town to get to a far off location. Close. Quick. Easy and stress free!
Short time frame
These sessions are only 20 minutes long - fantastic for busy kids who don't want to cooperate for long, and even better for those parents (ok, Dads) who role their eyes when you suggest updating your family pictures! Not to mention that the "stand and smile" part of these sessions will only take a minute, then we get to move on to some play! I have prompts and games all lined up to maximize on our short time together! You get to focus on loving on each other, and I'll document the results!
Why At Home?
Because home is often the backdrop of all your best memories! It's a time capsule of your lives right this minute. And aren't we all just a little more comfortable and ourselves at home? Kids love to show me around and we often get to skip a lot of the shy "warming up" phase when they can show off their toys!
Do we have to clean the whole house?
Absolutely not! I much prefer your real life home, imperfections and all. Better to tell your story! Check out my Insta feed for all the examples of my own mess at home! But if that's a little too real for you, by all means tidy up your favourite spot to hang out. I promise to work around any clutter and focus on your joy and love for each other!
Do we have to shoot at home?
Nope, we can figure out the best spot for your family! Maybe it's your front porch, your local park, your favourite hiking trail, or your favourite skate park! I'd love to shoot somewhere special for your family, but I can also send along my location guide with some of my favourite spots in Ottawa too.
And the best part? Spot and fluffy are invited too!
Home makes it so much easier to include all your furry (or feathery! or scaly!) family members as well! Pets are much more comfortable joining in on a session in their own environment. Have you ever tried to bring a fish to an outdoor shoot? Yeah, me neither. Point is - pets are family too, and I absolutely love including your pets in your photos!
What do you get?
2 weeks after our session I will send a password protected digital gallery right to your email inbox. You will get at least 10 hand edited photos you can download at full resolution, and access to my print store to order some archival lab quality prints to fill your frames!
